Power-One, Inc. releases its 40, 50 and 60 A non-isolated high-current point-of-load (POL) DC/DC converters that use multiphase-synchronous-buck topologies to deliver up to 93% efficiencies in high-power-density packages for space-critical blade server and communications applications. Wide input ranges (5 to 13.8 V), combined with user-defined outputs (0.6 to 3.6V), reduce the number of model numbers required in inventory. Advanced thermal-management techniques facilitate a 0 to 70° C operating range with best-in-class elevated-temperature performance. Features include tightly regulated outputs, no minimum load requirements, the capability to start up into pre-biased loads and low-noise fixed-frequency operation. Protections include over-current, output over-voltage and over-temperature with automatic restart.
