Front-end Power Supply

Tyco Electronics Power Systems, Inc. introduces the CP1800AC52, a high-density and low-profile power supply designed for minimal space utilization. Built with nWave™, Tyco’s digital-control technology using DSPs, the CP1800AC52 is a 48 V constant-power power supply that provides 1200 W from 100 to 120 VAC and 1800 W from 200 to 240 VAC. It is designed to operate from world-wide power sources and will deliver power with voltage surges up to 300 VAC. The power supply features a power density of 20 W/in3 at 1800 W and measures 1.66 inches (43 mm) high × 4.0 inches (102 mm) wide × 13.85 inches (352 mm) deep. The power supply provides a constant-power output from 48 V to 58 VDC and the output voltage may be reset anywhere from 44 V to 58 VDC either through analog or digital means. Thermal protection, DC output over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection, AC input over-voltage and under-voltage protection and variable-speed fans are all standard features.
