Mini OCXO Offers High Phase Noise Performance



Precision SC-Cut Crystal Frequency up to 250 MHz Small Hermetic Package

Greenray Industries combines precision crystal technology with a low noise oscillator and multiplier to develop a family of miniature, ovenized crystal oscillators that are capable of delivering high phase noise performance up through 250 MHz. The YH1518 Series uses a precision SC-cut crystal to help achieve low noise performance. SC-cut crystals provide a high Q to reduce the noise close to the carrier, yet they are able to withstand the high drive levels necessary for a low noise floor. The oscillator circuit drives a low noise frequency multiplier to increase the frequency up to 250 MHz. A thermally enhanced internal assembly enables the use of a small, 1.06 inchesࡧ.42 inches× 0.5 inches hermetic package. Supply voltage is +12 VDC and typical temperature stability is ± 0.07 ppm over -40° C to +70° C.
