Wireless OEM Modules

Cirronet’s wireless OEM product line now includes two low-cost OEM modules based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. The LPR2400 (1 mW RF power) and LPR2400ER (extended range with 65 mW RF power) operate at 2.4 GHz for wireless communications in industrial and factory applications. Both include a Cirronet Networking Layer that eases integration and adds support for sophisticated networks through a simple-to-use command language. Cirronet manufactures wireless modules supporting the ZigBee™ standard, which is based on the 802.15.4 specification. The primary difference is that ZigBee provides for mesh networking, whereas 802.15.4 delivers wireless networking via peer-to-peer and star topologies — allowing each to be selected for the type of application to which it is best suited.
