Dual 14-Bit A/D Converter

Analog Devices Inc. introduces its Model AD9640 dual 14-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to achieve sampling rates of 150 mega samples per second. Supporting all third-generation (3G) base station wireless standards including W-CDMA, CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA, it samples at rates beyond 135 ms/s, a common requirement for the WiMAX standard. It simplifies the design of multi-carrier wireless infrastructure systems by decreasing the amount of analog filtering in front of the ADC and by offering low power consumption. It divides the input clock by an integer between 1 and 8, reducing system complexity and improving clock jitter.
