Chip Resistor Exhibits Long Stability

Vishay Intertechnology’s VCS1625Z Z-Foil SMT current sensing chip resistor delivers a load-life stability of ±0.02% at 70°C for 2,000 hours at rated power. The device offers a TCR of ±0.05 ppm/°C from 0°C to 60°C and ±0.2 ppm/°C from -55°C to 125°C, 25°C ref., power coefficient (“?R due to self heating”) of ±5 ppm at rated power and a tolerance of ±0.2%. The EEE-INST-002- and MIL-PRF 55342-optimized resistor exhibits 1 ns rise time without ringing, immunity to electrostatic discharges exceeding 25 kV in a resistance range from 0.3 to 10 ?. Typical applications include precision current sensing, switching and linear power supplies, weigh scales, feedback circuits, precision voltage dividers, power management systems, amplifiers in test and measurement instrumentation. The component performs in laboratory and medical applications, weapons systems, electron beam applications, satellites and aerospace systems; and commercial and military avionics. The VCS1625Z comes in tape-and-reel or waffle packaging with gold or Pb-free, or tin/lead terminations.
