VCO Features Ultra Low Phase Noise



Z-Communications, Inc.'s V350ME52-LF operates at 350 to 700 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0 to 10 Vdc. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -99 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 45 MHz/V. The device is designed to deliver a typical output power of 4 dBm at 5 Vdc supply while drawing 13 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. It comes in Z-Comm's standard MINI-14S package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. The V350ME52-LF is well suited for digital radio and satellite modem applications that require ultra low phase noise performance. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements and is also suited for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
