Z-Communications, Inc. announces its Model V804ME17-LF lead free, RoHS-compliant voltage controlled oscillator in S-Band (2280 to 2450 MHz) for fixed wireless applications. This oscillator offers an ultra low phase noise performance of -95 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset (typ.), and it provides an average tuning sensitivity of 98 MHz/V and typical harmonic suppression of -20 dBc over the extended operating temperature range of -40° C to +85° C. The oscillator covers the entire bandwidth between 0.5 to 4.5 V at DC supply voltage of 5 V, drawing 20 mA (typ.). The VCO comes in a package that measures 0.50 inchesࡦ.50 inchesࡦ.13 inches, it is suitable for automated surface mount assembly and reflow, and it is available in tape-and-reel packaging for production requirements.
