Centurion Wireless announces the BlackChip internal wireless device antenna. The RoHS compliant BlackChip is a WiFi antenna solution that is lightweight and SMT compatible in lead free processes. The antenna is a portable wireless device appropriate form factor that simultaneously covers the frequency bands of 2.4 to 2.5 GHz and 4.9 to 6.0 GHz supporting the 802.11a, b, and g, Bluetooth, HyperLan, and Unlicensed Network Information Infrastructure (U-NII) broadband applications. Offering high-gain performance, the antenna provides an impedance of 50Ω and generates omni-directional patterns at all frequencies with increased gain in the upper bands.
