Hybrid Coupler

Microlab/FXR offers a 4.8 dB hybrid coupler for wireless systems, which when combined with a 3 dB hybrid of similar bandwidth, forms a 3 way hybrid combining network with 4.8 dB of loss. The CA-73D provides high isolation and low loss over the frequency band from 1700 to 2200 MHz. The design provides a 1.8 dB loss in the main line signal and a 4.8 dB in the coupled line. A true three way 4.8 dB per path hybrid combiner is formed when the 1.8 dB path is fed from a standard 3 dB hybrid to combine with an input into the 4.8 dB path. The two unused outputs must be terminated with an appropriately powered 50Ω load.
